About us
The Windems seek to bring the Democratic perspective to Windham and the Southern Tier. Frankly, it is not always easy or comfortable to speak boldly as a Democrat in our Republican-minded district. However, the Windems determinedly stake a Democratic presence in our community.
With monthly meetings, events and digital and social media, the Windems seek to provide an opportunity for conversations both on a one-to-one level and on a community-level to build respect and rapport and to work toward solutions for all Windham residents. Together, we dig into issues such as education, healthcare, diversity, the social safety net and renewable energy from a local, state and national perspective. We engage each other, the community, knowledgeable speakers and our elected officials to support progressive change, legislation and candidates.
